JigSaw 6.0 wins New Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary 19.11.2024

The tournament featured 36 updated chess engines. JigSaw 6.0 emerged as the winner, with Stockfish 17 finishing second. The third to fifth places went to Stockfish dev-20241113-82b092ca, Brainlearn 30, and CorChess 20241022, respectively. Upcoming test results will be published on our website shortly.

TOP Engines Tournament, 19.11.2024

Tournament of the latest versions of powerful chess engines. Places 1-2 were shared by the CorChess 20241114 and SF-PRO 18.11.2024. In 3-4 place were the SF PB 131124 and SF-PRO2 18.11.2024. Unfortunately, there were problems starting the Ceres engine. The next tests are ongoing, the results will be on the website soon.

Strong Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2024.11.22)

Tournament of the strongest chess engines. Four engines with the same number of points in the lead: Private19sf, Yuliana 5.50, Stockfish 20241113 and SpecTral PB 071124.
The Cool Iris 13.90 engine made a poor debut.

Tournament of fifteen young talents, or new versions of amateur chess engines. The Lizard 11.1 engine won. In 2nd place the Elixir 3.0 JA engine and in 3rd place the Molybdenum 4.1 engine.

HypnoS 220824bis wins New Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary 2024.11.24

Another test tournament - 36 chess engines. The HypnoS 220824bis engine won. The top places were very tight, with the following engines in places 2 to 8: Stockfish dev-20241113, Yuliana 5.50, SF-PRO2 11/18/2024, SF-PRO 11/18/2024, Marauders 4.0, ShashChess 37 and Stockfish 17.
Cfish 13 JA engine - problems with starting in Banksia GUI.

Molybdenum 4.1 wins Slow Horses Group E-4, League Chess Engines Diary edition 07/2024

The Slow Horses Group E-4 games ended the League Chess Engines Diary edition 07/2024.
The Molybdenum 4.1 engine won. In 2nd place the Elixir 3.0 JA engine and in 3rd place the Heimdall 1.1.1 engine. These three engines and ChandraChess 2.0 advanced to The Mandalorian Group E-3.
Now the league break will last until January 2025, but that does not mean that our tests are over. Check our website - the results of the next tournaments will be out soon.

Big Yuli GM 221024 wins New Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary, 2024.11.27

This is our next test tournament for 28 new chess engines. Five engines: Big Yuli GM 221024, YuliGM STRONG 180824, Stockfish dev-20241122, Stockfish 17 and Yuliana 5.50 scored the same number of points. The order of places was decided by the additional Berger score.

Obsidian dev-14.05 SE wins Middle Class Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2024.11.25)

Here are the results of the next Middle Class Engines Tournament. The Obsidian dev-14.05 SE engine won by a large margin. In 2nd place was the Berserk 13 engine and in 3rd place was the Alexandria 7.1.0 engine. A total of 1170 games were played, all of which are available for download. Another big test tournament - Middle Class Engines. Over 1500 games played!
The Obsidian 14.05 SE engine won. In 2nd place the Berserk 13 engine and in 3rd place the Caissa 1.21 engine.

Cool Iris 13.90 wins New engines Test, 29.11.2024

Tournament of the newest versions of chess engines. The Cool Iris 13.90 engine won, followed closely by the Cfish 12.7 engine, and in 3rd place by the Astra 4.0.1 engine.
As you can see, the new engines are welded together - as can be seen in the Tech table.

SF-PRO 25.11.2024 wins Test Chess Engines for Android, 2024.11.28

A brief tournament was held to evaluate new Android engines. The SF-PRO 25.11.2024 engine emerged victorious, followed by the Stockfish 20241113 engine in second place, and the Cfish 13 JA engine in third place.
Additional Android tests will be conducted shortly, so keep an eye on our website for updates.

Elixir 3.0 JA wins Young Talents CEDR, 27-30.11.2024

Here are the results of the Young Talents tournament, in which new or amateur versions of chess engines played. The Elixir 3.0 JA engine won, the Chesscpp 4.10 JA engine came in 2nd, and the Molybdenum 4.1 engine came in 3rd. To compare the playing power of these engines, the "benchmark" Critter engine played in the tournament. More results on our website, check back so you don't miss them.
